Vegetables:
organically grown, sustainably sowed

Our vegetables are organically grown. We have a large amazing garden where we grow vegetables to sell and to eat. Even though we are in zones 1-2, we are able to grow amazing vegetables in Fairbanks. We’ve measured growth and have found that there are days that the plant can grow more than an inch in just a 24 hour period. It’s due to our very long summer days when the sun doesn’t set. Everything is connected here. The bees pollinate the vegetables. We feed the vegetable scraps and the weeds from the garden to the chickens. The chickens give us eggs and we are able to compost their manure for fertilizer that goes into the garden and helps the vegetables grow. We collect rainwater to use for watering the garden. It all works out.
